Have something to say?
Custom date range filter on paid claims report
The paid insurance paid claims report should allow selecting a custom date range instead of being limited to the current date options.
Show insurance paid amount on paid claims report
The paid insurance paid claims report lists only the billed amount, not the amount the insurance payor actually paid. The report should show the revenue received from each claim and by which provider, since that is how providers get paid. Filtering by provider already exists and should be kept.
Stop AI summaries from minimizing domestic violence wording
Domestic Violence Descriptions The Upheal AI described a client's childhood experience of his father's violence toward his mother as: “violence between his parents.” This description makes it sound like the violence was mutual. It was not. Train the AI to avoid such commonly used but inaccurate and minimizing and problematic phrases (ie; “parental conflict,” “violence between partners,” etc.). It's not “conflict,” it's assault. It's not “between,” it's “toward.” As in, “father's violence toward mother.” The submitter specializes in working with victims of domestic violence (among other things).
Signed notes flagged as unsigned during claims submission
Claims Are Being Flagged for Unsigned Notes Even Though Notes Are Already Signed When filing an insurance claim in Upheal, an alert states there is an issue that needs to be resolved because the clinical note needs to be signed, even though the flagged notes have already been signed. This creates an unnecessary additional step and makes it appear that something is incomplete when the documentation has already been properly completed. Once a note has been signed, the claim should recognize its signed status automatically and should not require this issue to be resolved again.
Autogenerate superbills monthly on a chosen day
Auto-generate superbills on a day each month that the clinician chooses, to save time.
Auto-populate note with preselected billing code/session type
Billing code for session type automatically gets connected to the note When scheduling sessions, the billing code/session type chosen at scheduling should automatically carry over to the note itself. Currently it does not transfer, so the session type has to be added manually before signing, and it is frequently forgotten — the note then has to be unlocked after invoicing to correct it. This is especially problematic for clients who do not allow recording, where the diagnosis also has to be added. Additionally, the place to add the session type in the note does not seem to connect with the billing codes preselected for the client, so that has to be corrected again as well.
Automated sending of assessments on a fixed interval
Automatic Sending of Assessments Automate the sending of assessments to clients every X number of weeks, since assessments are typically done on a fixed interval basis to track progress and change in client mood and behavior. Also provide an easy way to track who has completed assessments and at what intervals, which is almost impossible to manage manually with over 100 clients on a caseload and is necessary for quality patient care and tracking.
Decouple invoice editing from signed clinical notes
Allow users with Billing/Admin permissions to edit or correct client invoices without unlocking, modifying, or otherwise affecting the clinician's signed clinical note. Currently, making a correction or update to a client's invoice appears to require the clinician's already-signed note to be unlocked first. Billing staff may need to make changes such as correcting invoice information, updating billing details, or resolving billing issues after a clinician has already completed and signed their documentation. Since these changes are administrative rather than clinical, invoice editing should be handled independently from the signed note. Ideally: Clinicians' signed notes would remain locked and unchanged. Admin users could make necessary invoice and billing corrections. This separation would allow administrative and billing staff to complete their responsibilities without requiring clinicians to reopen finalized clinical documentation.
Printable manual of all note template styles
Provide a downloadable/printable document that lists all of the possible note templates (all the different styles) in one place, so they can be scrolled through and seen at a glance without having to open each one separately.
Split couple profiles while keeping shared note history
Allow separating the two individual profiles of a couple into their own profiles after they decide to end the relationship, while maintaining their note history from when they were a couple. Couples often attend a number of sessions together and then separate, and the notes from the joint sessions need to remain accessible to both profiles.
Configurable cancellation cutoff window before appointments
Appt Cancelation Time Frame Add a limit on when appointment cancellations can occur, for example a rule of "no cancellations within 24 hours of the appt", and have the EHR provide a message directing the patient to reach out to the clinician to cancel.
Allow one parent email address for all children
Allow a parent to use a single email address for all of their children in therapy, instead of requiring a separate email address for each child.
Co-sign pending alert for associate's notes
Show supervisors when associates have reviewed and signed their notes, for example via a co-sign pending alert. Currently checking whether notes have been signed for co-signing requires going into each associate's profile individually.
Access associate's notes from team calendar
Restore the ability for a licensed clinician supervisor to access and review associate's notes directly from the team calendar. Previously the notes could be opened and reviewed from the team calendar; now the supervisor has to go into each associate's client profiles individually to review the notes. Allow quick access to associate's notes for supervisor review.
Include insurance transactions in client statement
Add the option to include insurance transactions in the client statement for clarity.
Fill out form fields before sending to a client
Forms Allow filling out certain aspects of a form before it is sent to a client, such as ROI, by free-form typing in the boxes ahead of sending. Currently certain information cannot be filled out ahead of sending, such as the Dr being requested to share/receive information. The form allows sync with a client profile, but only first name OR last name, not both.
Therapeutic Executor access to practice records
Provide a facility to designate a Therapeutic Executor — a fellow therapist/supervisor who can access the practice records to inform clients and refer them on as appropriate. In the UK this is required in case of sudden death, and access should apply only in case of death or complete incapacitation.
More 2FA options including Google Authenticator
please add more 2FA options Add more two-factor authentication options, for example Google Authenticator, for situations where the customer is travelling and cannot receive SMS codes.
Bill insurance before associate signs progress note
Allow billing insurance for sessions even when the associate's progress note has not been signed and locked yet. Currently, a practice owner with two associates must sign the associate's note, bill, and then unlock the note so the associate has time to review it. Being able to bill regardless of whether the associate has reviewed and signed their note would save time.
Auto-deactivate inactive clients after configurable inactivity threshold
Feature Suggestion: Automated Inactivity Tracking and Inactive Client Offboarding Workflow Add an automated background workflow for managing inactive caseloads. Therapists should be able to set an inactivity threshold (e.g., 30 days without a session and no future appointments scheduled). Once a client hits this threshold, the system should automatically: Send a customized warning message informing them that they need to schedule an appointment or their patient portal access will be deactivated. Automatically deactivate the client's account if they do not respond by scheduling within a set grace period. Send a follow-up notification informing them of the deactivation and letting them know they can return at any time by contacting the office. This would eliminate the need to manually run reports and manage follow-ups, saving significant administrative time for caseload maintenance.
