📅 Self-Scheduling for New Clients

We're adding a public booking page for each therapist so prospective clients can pick a service, choose an available time, and request a session without any back-and-forth. You'll get a shareable link (like /book/dr-jane-smith) that you can put on your website, directory listing, or anywhere else potential clients find you.

When someone books through the page, you'll be notified and can confirm or decline the request before it's finalized. The client becomes a new record in your system automatically. You control which services are available for new clients versus existing ones, so you can offer an intake session publicly while keeping follow-up services limited to your current caseload. Existing clients who land on the page can identify themselves and get routed to their own scheduling options.

Thank you! When do you anticipate this feature being up and running? I’m in the midst of migrating my practice from Simple Practice to Upheal, and this was an unforeseen missing feature that is a sticking point for a busy private practice. Do you have a workaround you can recommend in the meantime?
    Many thanks,
    Sonya

Sonya, this was a feature I miss from Simple Practice as well. I purchased booking through Setmore and only offer my consultation and intake sessions through there, on certain times/days so I don’t overlap. I’m still trying to figure out if I can sync my upheal calendar to setmore to avoid double booking. Its messy, but a workaround for now. Hopefully, not needed too much longer!

    YES PLEASE! 😍 👏

I would LOVE to have a public booking link that new clients can access without first having their e-mail address in the portal. I want to make it as EASY as possible for client to book their first appointment, but have them enter in their name, e-mail, phone, DOB, and address when booking. Most people don’t want to have to call to schedule anymore.

This would allow me to end my subscription with Calendly. One less service to pay for.

I would love a bandaid solution of having a form that allows a new client to be created while we wait for this

Please hurry with this!!! I do not want to completely switch from SimplePractice until this is complete. Will existing clients be able to schedule this way, too? Please?

Can this also, please, please, pretty please, include allowing clients to select a location instead of having to create a new service for every single location? It would be nice to have generic services and then choose which locations to allow clients to book this service at (Such as Service: Walk & Talk; the client selects a location from a drop-down that includes the applicable parks).

This is still my greatest frustration with self- scheduling for clients. Thank you!

    Client booking requests

Can we please have the client self-scheduling send a request for approval to the therapist first before it is booked in our calendar? I’ve had multiple conflicts as sometimes I haven’t gotten a chance to add other appointments into my schedule in Upheal yet or external calendars may not have synced all appointments added. This was one thing I did like about Simple Practice and do hope Upheal can make this happen…please?? Thanks so much, you guys rock!!:)
